How product scoring works
A product assessment describes the available evidence about a product. It does not rate the design of its generated store, predict sales, or promise profitability.
There are five categories, worth up to 20 points each. We only show a total out of 100 when all five can be assessed from the required evidence. Missing information is unknown—not zero, an estimate, or an invitation for AI to invent a number.
Demand
Observed 30-day sales: 0 units = 0; 1–9 = 5; 10–49 = 10; 50–199 = 15; 200+ = 20. Requires a dated observed-sales source.
Differentiation
Compare at least 3 comparable products. Each supported distinct feature earns 5 points, capped at 20. This is a documented positioning judgment.
Contribution margin
Contribution after all eight included per-order amounts: nonpositive = 0; under 10% = 5; 10–19.99% = 10; 20–34.99% = 15; 35%+ = 20. Costs in one currency; explicit zero is allowed, missing is not zero.
Creative-planning readiness
Creative-planning readiness: source images (0/1–2/3+ = 0/3/5), semantic features (0/1–2/3+ = 0/3/5), source description (0/5), mapped variant-image coverage (0/<80%/80%+ = 0/3/5). Not measured advertising effectiveness.
Fulfillment evidence
At least 20 observed fulfilled orders in a dated window. On-time and defect-free rates each: below 80% = 0; 80–89.99% = 3; 90–94.99% = 6; 95–98.99% = 8; 99%+ = 10. Supplier promises are not observations.
A supplier listing usually provides product details, prices, and images. It generally does not establish observed sales, comparisons with other products, complete selling costs, or delivery outcomes. Supplier price alone cannot establish margin, and a supplier image reference is not proof that the image can be downloaded safely.
Assessment coverage does not block building a store. Product identity, usable reference images, access permissions, and spending limits are checked separately. Store quality is judged by factual accuracy, useful copy, imagery, responsive presentation, saving, and reopening—not by this product score.
